WORLD PREMIERE of "A Universal Love Story" at the "Sydney Indie Film Festival" in September!!!
"A Universal Love Story" is going to premiere in a couple of weeks at the "Sydney Indie Film Festival"! This will be its world premiere!
Find out more about the film, which is written & directed by Natalie MacMahon:
Trailer:
“A Universal Love Story” is a short fantasy drama about the possibility of finding love in an impersonal world in the distant future, where everyone is so focused on himself, that it seems almost impossible to connect to another person.
All that’s left is the memory of love and the hope to experience it one more time. It seems that sometimes it takes a miracle from a different universe to start a revolution.
As the title suggests, it is a universal story about characters with different backgrounds in an undefined time and space. It is a very visual and symbolic film that can be watched several times and each time, one can find a different meaning.
“A Universal Love Story” is one of the few films shot in Esperanto.

Plot:
Aven likes to take off his mind by spending his free time in a virtual reality game, which is set in a mysterious, seductive and ambiguous world. This fantasy world is the perfect contrast to his rather boring every-day life, that is determined by a monotonous callcenter job. Soon this game threatens to take over his life and Aven gets obsessed with a mysterious red-haired woman. What started as a game, eventually becomes bitter reality, where boundaries are non-existent. Has this game become reality or is reality nothing more than a game?
